Church of the Good Shepherd

From Bishop O’Neill

Bishop O'Neill

During the past few years, it has been my privilege to participate in the activities at the Church of the Good Shepherd. I have been pleased to meet with their Bishop’s committee, lay leaders, parishioners, children, teenagers, young adults, and others in their place of worship. The experience with these people has been, quite literally, inspiring. I have seen people of good faith and good will working together to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and to respond to the call of God in their lives.

I enthusiastically support the ministries of the Church of the Good Shepherd and hope that you will be a part of its life. God is doing great things through this new church to transform people’s lives. May God’s peace and blessing be with you.

Faithfully,
The Rt. Rev. Robert J. O’Neill, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado

Deacon Francis Mutolo

Serving People in Need

Deacon Frances Mutolo and the Loving Ministry Group oversee our compassion ministries. In our part of Colorado Springs, we work closely with Northern Churches Care, an ecumenical outreach organization for the northern end of the Springs.

One of our core values is Servanthood. We live this out in a variety of ways in our church. Here is a sample of the kinds of compassion ministries that we do:

Hands in Prayer

Prayer Chain

The Church of the Good Shepherd has a Prayer Chain. This is a group of individuals who have agreed to pray for any who request prayers. When a prayer request is made, the members of the Prayer Chain are notified by email. If the prayer request comes through the website, the request will be acknowledged.
